The Moonshot Workshop
The Mission
This is your Captain speaking. You are now a part of a space team aboard an accelerating spaceship. You must ensure that the ships systems are functioning properly in order to go where no person has gone before. Each player is responsible for keeping the ship moving by resolving malfunctions in their own sector, and you’ll have an arsenal of tools to help. Your space team has 5 minutes to complete your repairs, so act fast and good luck!
The Why
Far too many corporate events leave your employees sitting in their seats absorbing information; this workshop is designed to be the break you didn’t know you needed. Participants in groups of 6 to 10 will work together to be the first team to fix their spaceship. Each round of the game grows in complexity and requires the team to have clear communication and adapt to the needs of the moment.
The Audience
This workshop was designed for the growing Scale-Up that has a big “moonshot” goal. Whether you are growing in size or just complexity, as your company aims to achieve big things you will need to become masters at communicating, collaborating, and pivoting. In-between each round of the game we’ll discuss what changes as we grow and how we can be a “space team” that works together to achieve those big hairy audacious goals.

The Logistics
This workshop can be customized to focus on different aspects of communication and collaboration in growing teams. It has been done with smaller groups of 30 and with as many as 300. The only requirements are having a clear table surface and groups of 6 to 10 people. All other messaging and the length of the workshop can be customized to fit your company and specific event messaging.
